The role
Due to business growth and the rapid expansion of their Chemical tanker fleet, or client has created a new position to lead their chartering activities globally.
Your role will be to provide leadership and strategic direction to the chartering team (headcount 16+) across 4 international locations. You will have ultimate responsibility for the profitable employment of a fleet of 16 chemical tankers growing to 30+ with new deliveries in the next 12 months.
You will be developing business and client relations at a high level; inspiring, training and leading a large international team; and will be hands on when required. You will be part of the leadership team for our clients chemical business unit and will work closely with the Operational and Technical management.
The person
You will be a seasoned Chemical Chartering professional and will have held leadership roles at a major international Chemical Tanker business. You are likely to have 15+ years experience in commercial shipping. You will have strong management, leadership and teambuilding skills. You will be able to take a strategic global overview of the chemical shipping market and translate that into a vision for the business.
