Faststream Recruitment’s massage clinic at this years Tour Pour La Mer went down a storm as riders flooded to soothe their aches and pains as the rain started to pour outside the finishing enclosure in Palmerston Park, Southampton.

Riders who completed the 100 mile trip passed through over 12 Hampshire villages, climbed a total ascent of 5,900ft and pedalled over 50,000 revolutions, making the massage clinic a much needed place of rest and recovery after hours on the road.

The massage clinic served to over 50 tired legs with donations going to The Mission To Seafarers.

Ben Darnton, Faststream’s Shipping, Marine and Offshore Manager was one of the 100 mile finishers who took full advantage of the massage clinic. He commented: “With the event being held in Faststream’s home town of Southampton it was only right that we did our bit for the cyclists. After spending over 7 hours on the road myself the massage was certainly an oasis in the desert, or rather the rain”.

Faststream Recruitment’s 3-strong cycling team raised over £1,000 for The Mission To Seafarers. Pictured below from left to right: Alistair Tudor, Ben Darnton, Matthew Devine.
