The role
Our client is seeking a high caliber individual to join its fast growth team. As part of its growth and expansion plans, we are inviting applications for the position of manager of newbuild department.
Reporting to the group managing director, responsibilities include:
• Preparation and supervision of and conversion projects.
• Drawing approvals.
• Structural modeling and analysis.
• Ship and shipyard inspections.
• Feasibility studies.
• Supervision of the new building department for the entire Group including and staff employed on several projects worldwide.
The person
• Degree graduate in naval architecture.
• 10 years experience working in a shipyard, design consultancy or classification society.
• Good report writing and qualification skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Good supervisory skills.
• Strong personal and customer awareness.
• Shows initiative and has a decisive character.
