The role
The incumbent’s job scope should consist, but not limited to the following:
1. Class Hull Surveys: Annual, Biennial, Continuous Hull Survey, Special Survey, Hull Damage, Docking, Transfer of Class, Underwater Examination and etc…;
2. New Construction Surveys: Machinery Installation, Steel and Material Checks, New Hull Constructions and etc…;
3. Surveys for Lifting Appliances: Annual, Initial and Quadrennial Certifications and Damage Inspections;
4. Statutory Surveys: SOLAS, MARPOL, Crude Oil Washing, Loadline, Tonnage and etc….
The person
You will ideally possess a good degree in Naval Architecture, with minimum 10 years experience in related industry that comes with good number of years with a Classification Society or Marine Consultancy in carrying out the various types of field surveys.
